It was a black new year day celebrations in Omoku, Rivers State as Gunmen allegedly kill more than 20 people returning from crossover night service.
They were reportedly killed in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State by a group of gunmen on Monday.
The attackers, who raided the town in the early hours of New Year Day, were suspected to be working for a former militant leader, Don Nwanee.
The State Police Command told Punch, he was aware of the development.
He, however, did not give details as at the time of filling this report.

It is unfortunate that the people of ogba land begins their new year with sorrow and tears as the people who were coming back from cross over night early this morning was brutally killed by gun men 17 people has been confirmed dead while some are still in the hospital struggling for their life husband and wife, father and two sons and so many other innocent people were also killed this early morning in the land of omoku River State Biafra land .
