Armed attackers believed to be bandits ambushed the convoy of Zamfara State Governor’s Chief of Staff, Alhaji Mouktar Lugga, on Thursday evening along the Funtua–Gusau highway.

According to reports, the incident occurred at about 6:16 p.m. near Kucheri village as Lugga was returning to Gusau after attending an official function.
