South African gospel musician Lundi Tyamara has died.
The talented musician’s condition took a turn for the worst when he was transferred to intensive care unit at Netcare as his internal organs started to fail.
He has been breathing through life support machines since last week and could not talk.
Lundi was first admitted to hospital in December 2016 after returning from a trip to China.
He passed away on, 27 January 2016.
His manager Anele Hlazo earlier made an appeal to his fans and supporters to offer prayers for Tyamara as his condition took a turn for the worse days ago.
“We just pray for a miracle. Otherwise, his situation is bad”, he said.
Tyamara is one of South Africa’s most celebrated gospel singers. His hit single Mphefumlo Wami turned him into a household name.
