Former President Goodluck Jonathan today visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he provided a detailed briefing on the developing political situation in Guinea-Bissau.

Jonathan, who serves as the ECOWAS Special Envoy on the West African nation, updated President Tinubu—current Chairman of ECOWAS—on the escalating tensions and recent power struggles threatening stability in Guinea-Bissau.
The meeting comes amid reports of gunfire and an attempted coup in the country, raising concerns across the sub-region. President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and democratic governance in West Africa
