Former Minister Chris Ngige Pleads Not Guilty

Former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige, has pleaded not guilty to an eight-count indictment bordering on alleged corruption. The former minister was arraigned in court on Thursday following an investigation that linked him to financial misconduct during his time in office.

Ngige denied all allegations, maintaining that he had no involvement in any fraudulent activities. His legal team also argued that the charges were politically motivated and vowed to challenge them vigorously in court.

 

The case has drawn nationwide attention as Nigerians await further proceedings and the government’s next steps in the anti-corruption drive.
