Forbes has released its annual list of the World’s Most Powerful Women for 2025, featuring two prominent Nigerians — Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Mo Abudu — among the global elite.

Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), continues to earn worldwide recognition for her influence in global trade, economic policy, and development reforms. Her leadership at the WTO and strong voice on African economic advancement earned her a top spot once again.
Media mogul Mo Abudu, founder of EbonyLife Media, was also named on the list for her groundbreaking achievements in African storytelling, global media expansion, and strengthening Nigeria’s presence in international entertainment. Abudu has consistently been acknowledged for reshaping Africa’s creative industry and forging partnerships with global platforms such as Netflix and Sony.
Their inclusion highlights Nigeria’s growing influence in global leadership, governance, and media innovation.
