Nigeria’s First Lady has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art digital learning centre in Yobe State, marking a major step toward improving access to quality and technology-based education in the North-East.

The facility, equipped with modern computers, internet connectivity, and multimedia learning tools, is aimed at empowering students and young people with digital skills essential for the modern world.
Speaking at the event, the First Lady emphasized that the initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s drive to bridge the digital divide and prepare Nigerian youth for opportunities in a global knowledge economy.
She added that education remains the strongest tool to fight poverty, insecurity, and unemployment, noting that similar centres will be established across other states.
The inauguration ceremony drew attendance from state officials, traditional rulers, education stakeholders, and students who hailed the project as a timely investment in the state’s future.
