The Government of Finland has opened its doors to foreign workers, including qualified Nigerians, as part of efforts to tackle the country’s growing labour shortage.

According to Finland’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the recruitment drive targets professionals in sectors such as healthcare, technology, construction, and agriculture.

Successful applicants will enjoy a minimum monthly wage equivalent to ₦2.2 million, alongside other benefits such as healthcare coverage, housing support, and family relocation assistance.

Officials say the initiative aims to attract skilled workers from outside the European Union to sustain Finland’s workforce and economic growth in the coming years.
