The Federal government has ordered the immediate payment of February salaries to all federal workers in the country to ease the challenges caused by elections postponement.
Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed who told State House reporters at the end the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, presided over by president Muhammadu Buhari, said, “the payment of salaries started yesterday as against the 25th of every month to ease the challenges caused by elections postponement.”
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had, on Saturday, announced the postponement of the elections by a week, citing logistics challenges.
