Expect Further Reduction in Petrol Prices — Dangote

Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has assured Nigerians to expect further reductions in petrol prices, following recent price adjustments by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

Dangote gave the assurance while speaking on efforts to stabilize fuel supply and reduce energy costs in the country. According to him, the gradual reduction in petrol prices is part of a long-term plan aimed at easing the financial burden on Nigerians and supporting economic growth.

He explained that as the refinery continues to scale up production, optimize operations, and reduce reliance on imported petroleum products, Nigerians will benefit from more competitive pricing. Dangote noted that local refining eliminates several costs associated with importation, including foreign exchange pressure, shipping, and port charges, which directly impact pump prices.

The business mogul also reaffirmed his commitment to working with relevant government agencies and stakeholders to ensure price stability, transparency, and uninterrupted fuel supply across the country. He emphasized that sustained local production remains key to shielding Nigeria from global oil price shocks.

The assurance comes amid growing public interest in fuel pricing following recent reductions by the Dangote Refinery, which many Nigerians see as a positive step toward affordable energy and economic relief.
