Its was a tragedy in a football viewing centre in Calabar, Cross River State, as more than ten football fans were electrocuted to death.
The fans were watching the UEFA Europa League football quarter-final match between Manchester United and Anderlecht at a viewing center in Nyahasang, Atimbo.
According to reports, a cable from a transformer near the viewing center cut, this caused one of the high tension cables attached to the transformer to fall on the zinc of the viewing center building.
At about ten people died from the electrocution while the few that survived were badly burnt and have been taken to Cross River state Teaching hospital.
