Delta Air Elevates Lagos–Atlanta Route with State-of-the-Art Airbus A350-900

LAGOS, Nigeria — Delta Air Lines is enhancing travel between Nigeria and the United States with the deployment of its next-generation Airbus A350-900 and A330-900neo aircraft on the Lagos–Atlanta route this winter season.

The upgrade is part of Delta’s strategy to meet strong travel and cargo demand during the festive period, offering passengers greater comfort, advanced in-flight technology, and a premium onboard experience.

From late November, the route will be operated using a mix of both aircraft types, before transitioning fully to the Airbus A350-900 in early December.

“Deploying our A350 and A330-900neo on the Lagos–Atlanta route for the winter season enables Delta to meet growing customer demand while delivering a premium experience our travellers will love,” said Mary Gbobaniyi, Delta’s Manager, Sales, West Africa.

The A350-900, Delta’s flagship long-haul aircraft, features quieter cabins, ambient lighting, improved fuel efficiency, and expanded cargo capacity.

Passengers will enjoy Delta’s four-cabin experience — Delta One® Suites, Premium Select, Comfort+, and Main Cabin — all designed to deliver enhanced comfort and service. Entertainment options include over 1,000 hours of Delta Studio content, curated dining, and fast, free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles Members.

Serving Nigeria since 2007, Delta continues to strengthen connectivity between West Africa and North America, ensuring seamless travel and trade links through its Lagos–Atlanta service.
