The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of petrol (PMS) at its loading gantry to ₦828 per litre, down from the previous ₦877 per litre.

The latest price adjustment marks a significant move by the refinery to ease pressure on downstream marketers and contribute to stabilizing fuel prices across Nigeria.
Industry sources confirm that the new price took effect this week, and the reduction is expected to reflect at filling stations in the coming days as marketers begin to lift products at the revised rate.
This development comes amid growing calls from stakeholders for local refineries to help lower the cost of fuel and reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imported petroleum products.
The Dangote Refinery, which recently ramped up daily production capacity, is playing a central role in the government’s efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in refined products and strengthen the nation’s energy security.
Experts have commended the refinery’s price adjustment, describing it as a positive signal for the economy that could ease inflationary pressures and support logistics and transport sectors.
