Chinese Envoy Hails Rising Popularity of Wushu in Nigeria, Calls It a Bridge of Cultural Exchange

The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, has commended the increasing popularity of Wushu, a traditional Chinese martial art, across Nigeria.

Speaking at a recent event, Dunhai described Wushu as more than just a sport — calling it a powerful bridge for cultural exchange and mutual understanding between China and Nigeria.

“Wushu embodies discipline, strength, and harmony. Its growing acceptance in Nigeria is a reflection of the close friendship between our two nations,” the Ambassador stated.

He emphasized that the spread of Wushu in Nigeria not only promotes physical fitness and youth empowerment but also strengthens cultural diplomacy and people-to-people connections.
