Rev. Fr. Bobbi Paschal, the Parish Priest of Saint Stephen’s Parish, Kushe Gugdu in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been murdered by terrorists in the early hours of today, 19 November 2025.
Sources within the community confirmed that armed attackers invaded the rectory before dawn and fatally assaulted the priest. The incident has thrown the parish and surrounding communities into deep mourning, heightening fears over the rising wave of insecurity targeting clergy and rural residents in Northwest Nigeria.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, but security operatives have reportedly begun investigations and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.
The Catholic community across Nigeria has expressed shock at the killing, calling on the government to urgently strengthen protection for priests, worship centres, and vulnerable communities.
