Thousands of Britons are holding protests against Donald Trump in the UK today ahead of his inauguration as US president.
Demonstrations are being staged in a number of cities including London, Brighton, Edinburgh and Manchester.
At Tower Bridge a protest called Bridges not Walls saw an 82ft (25m) banner unfurled at 8.30am this morning.
This demonstration was due to be mirrored by every major bridge across the River Thames as far as Vauxhall.
The protest calling for peace and tolerance will also see six banners unfurled from Edinburgh’s North Bridge.
The UK protests join other demonstrations in cities around the world as Mr Trump is sworn in as US president.
The largest protest will be in Washington tomorrow when 200,000 people are expected to join a women’s march.
Demonstrators have already clashed with police officers outside a pro-Trump rally in the US capital last night.
