The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims by Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang that he was under pressure to defect to the ruling party.

In a statement released on Saturday, the APC described Mutfwang’s remarks as “baseless and politically motivated,” insisting that no one in the party had approached the governor with such an offer.
According to the statement, the APC remains focused on strengthening its internal structures and delivering good governance, rather than luring opposition figures.
The party further urged Governor Mutfwang to focus on the challenges facing Plateau State, rather than “creating false political drama to gain public sympathy.”
