Anambra State Government to Build 10,000 Homes for Workers

The Anambra State Government has announced plans to construct 10,000 affordable housing units for workers across the state, marking one of the largest housing interventions in the region.

According to officials, the project is designed to ease the growing accommodation challenges faced by civil servants and low–income earners. The housing scheme will feature modern, well-planned residential units with essential infrastructure such as water, power, roads, and security.

The government says the initiative is part of a broader effort to improve workers’ welfare, boost productivity, and stimulate economic growth through massive construction activity and job creation.

The first phase of the project is expected to begin soon, with allocations targeted at verified workers in both state and local government service.
