Tragedy, as a family of three simply identified as Chizoba Aniefuna dies following a building collapse, in Egbu Umuenem, Otolo Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

one-story building also trapped a relative who was later rescued and receiving treatment at St. Felix Hospital in Nnewi.
Victor Meju, the Anambra State Chairman of COREN, who spoke to the media, blamed the accident on a number of factors, including a weak foundation, poor concrete mix, poor-quality materials, poor wearing capacity, a lack of compliance with standards, and lack of approval from the appropriate regulatory bodies.
