A Nigerian passenger on Air Peace flight identified as Kunle Oni has been arrested for stealing on board.
Kunle Oni an Abuja bound passenger to lagos, was caught stealing from other passenger’s bags stowed in the overhead compartments.
The thief tagged ‘big man’ was caught stealing big money from other passengers.
A witness who prefers to remain anonymous said by the time the thief subtracts his fare from the stolen money which is said to be much, his profits will still be heavy if he had succeeded.
Kunle Oni has been stealing for years but nemesis caught up with him yesterday.
Stakeholders believe that those burgling aircraft cargo hold while taxing would still be caught soon if extra care is taken and appropriate measures put in place
The Lagos Airport Police Command will on Monday arraign the suspect, who allegedly stole N1, 008,000 aboard Air Peace flight from Abuja to Lagos
The spokesperson for the command, DSP Joseph Alabi, said that the suspect, who identified himself in a video, would be arraigned before an Ogba Magistrates’ Court for stealing.
Alabi said the suspect, who lives in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, allegedly stole the sums of N504, 000, N350, 000 and N154,000 aboard the flight.
He said the monies belonged to one Mr Olaniye and Mr Abubakar Jimoh, who were his co-passengers on board the flight.
