Air Peace Begins Flight Operation To Akure

Air Peace a fast growing Nigerian carrier, has began commercial flight operations to Akure Airport in Ondo State with just ten thousand naira ticket fare.

The inaugural Lagos-Akure-Lagos flight took off from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja at 1p.m. and touched down at the Akure Airport at 1.40 p.m.

On board the flight was the Governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) with the Chairman of the airline, Barr. Allen Onyema with passengers and journalists were greeted with fanfare by the indegene.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, speaking to journalists said that the drive for Airpeace into Akure state is for investment as well as to prevent hazards on the road such as armed robbery, Kidnapping and unmotorable roads.

He said “We discussed with many airlines, but those involve in the negotiation were able to report to me that Air Peace gave us the best in terms of their offer. The offer appears better than other airlines. And again, it is a fast growing airline.

Barr. Onyema who also spoke to journalists said the carrier in collaboration with Akure state administration will guarantee easy access to Ondo State investors, tourists and other categories of air travellers.

According to him, going to Akure is to help the state in development with ticket fare as low as ten thousand.

This is a sacrifice which was also done in Kebbi State and now Akure state he said.
