The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled a detailed timetable for its nationwide congresses and the party’s upcoming national convention.

In a public announcement jointly signed by the National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo, and the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party outlined a series of activities that will begin in early April and conclude with its National Convention.
According to the schedule, the first phase of the internal exercise will start with Polling Unit and Ward Congresses on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Leadership Structure
This will be followed by the Local Government Area Congresses slated for Thursday, April 9, 2026, while State Congresses are expected to take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
The process will eventually culminate in the party’s National Convention scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026, where key decisions and leadership structures are expected to be finalised.
The ADC explained that the congresses are part of its constitutional mandate to review and renew its leadership framework at every level of the party structure—from polling units and wards to local government and state chapters—before reaching the national level.
Party members who intend to contest for vacant positions during the congresses have been advised to obtain and complete the necessary nomination or expression of interest forms through the party’s official website.
