Reactions has continued to trail the exit of former NUJ chairman Deji Elumoye and his executive with so much level of corruption.
Facebook user shared his experience
It is sad when journalists who should stand for uprightness and integrity are found to be “Ancestors ” of corruption.
The immediate past executives of Nuj Lagos Council, led by Mr Deji Elumoye, promised us a decent accommodation, and we paid 250 dollars into a dedicated account as ‘counterpart’ funding for the development of plots of land already paid for by each journalist.
They promised to deliver decent accommodation last year. Alas, early this year an additional 2 million naira was requested, which some of us did not agree to pay since it was looking like a fraudulent project.
My friend went online and couldn’t find the name and company of the purported developer. Folks, take a look at the swamp they promised struggling journalists would move into over a year ago.
Integrity lacking in so many people. The new executives went to inspect the site yesterday. It was God that saved them from Alligators and crocodiles bites in the swampy terrain.
Too many sad stories. Imagine people conceiving a room that won’t have a wardrobe in this generation.
The single prototype they found on the entire land fits nothing more than a boys quarter.
They also perfected a scheme to steal part of our land by reducing the size to half plot instead of our original full plot. Sad sad sad.
They even falsely claimed to have used part of our money to fence the entire land. God will judge the folks who chose to deceive hardworking journalists.
To Dr. Kazeem Akinreti, Chairman, NUJ, Lagos Council and his executives you will excel in the name of Jesus.
