Medview Airline aborted a flight at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos and returned to ramp.
This is to avoid over one hundred of its passengers suffocating to death due to the malfunction of its cooling system.
The flight was scheduled to fly from the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos to Abuja- Yola.
A source disclosed that the plane was taxing to take-off when the pilot observed that the cabin was hot and had to abort the flight. The passengers were immediately disembarked and put in another aircraft to continue their journey.
Confirming the incident, the media consultant to Medview Airline, Oyibotha Obuke said the pilot had to abort the flight because of hotness of the cabin.
Obuke explained that: “If the aircraft had taken off, the cooling system would have stabilised, but as a precautionary measure, the pilot taxied back to base. ”
He stated further that the aircraft is on ground as the airline team of engineers are examining the aircraft to ascertain what led to the problem.
