A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has alleged that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is unwilling to conduct free and fair elections in 2027.

Speaking during a media briefing, Galadima claimed that recent political moves by the ruling party suggest a deliberate attempt to weaken opposition voices and compromise Nigeria’s democratic process. He warned that unless corrective measures are taken, the credibility of the 2027 polls could be undermined.
Galadima, a long-time political ally turned critic of successive governments, urged Nigerians and the international community to remain vigilant and demand transparency ahead of the next general elections.
The Presidency has yet to issue a response to his remarks.
