A call to resign has been made to The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by The Coalition of Concerned Northern Youths, (CCNY) asking President Muhammadu Buhari to honourably resign as Nigeria’s President, adding that he has failed woefully.
The Coalition’s statement was signed by its National Convener, Muhammed Ishaq The statement cited the President’s inability and lack of desire to tackle the security challenges facing the country as a catalyst for the call. This call is the second such one coming from the North following a similar call led by the Ango Abdullahi-led Northern Elders Forum, NEF, which just last weekend declared the administration of President Buhari a total failure.
The Coalition claimed to speak for millions of Northern youths who were fed up with Buhari’s inaction towards the massive security challenges ravaging Nigeria in general and the north in particular.
