Eighteen months old baby, simply identified as Zama died last week after being raped by a relative in Ncombe outside eSikhaleni, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.
The man believed to be responsible for the attack was arrested shortly after her death and appeared in court on Monday morning, June 25.
A large crowd gathered at the court to protest against his bail.
