According to his account, success didn’t come quickly. The singer revealed that he spent about sixteen years pushing through setbacks, disappointments, and moments of doubt before his career began to gain real momentum roughly three years ago.

During that long journey, he admitted to experiencing some of the most challenging periods of his life, where progress felt uncertain and hope often seemed distant.

He encouraged others not to lose hope, emphasising perseverance and faith as key to his breakthrough.

Meanwhile, fellow Nigerian star Asake has also shared a personal story about his rise in music.

The “Sungba” hitmaker disclosed that his decision to pursue a music career created tension between him and his father, Fatai Odunsi.
