According to reports, the teenager—identified as Tijjani—was arrested on Sunday in Ngamdu.

He was allegedly intercepted while on an errand to procure food supplies for members of an armed group.

Sources within the military revealed that the suspect is linked to the attack on a military base that resulted in the death of Brigadier General Oseni Braimah, commander of the 29 Task Force Brigade, along with three other troops.

The assault reportedly occurred on Thursday when insurgents suspected to be Boko Haram fighters overran the facility.

Investigations suggest that the teenager may have also been involved in previous attacks in the Benisheik and Ngamdu areas.

He is believed to have been moving between locations tied to the group’s operations.

Further details indicate that Tijjani had traveled from Jilli carrying a significant amount of cash intended to support logistical activities in Ngamdu.

During interrogation, he reportedly stated that he left other members of the group behind in Jilli and had no information about their current whereabouts.
